PLANETARY

This current collection (not including the lunar paintings), was inspired while reading six books by Italian Theoretical Cosmologist Carlo Rovelli. Rovelli dedicates his life with other theorists and scientists, to advance a recent theory which merges ‘cosmology’ and ‘quantum physics’ called, “Loop Quantum Gravity” (LQG).

This theory posits, like all things in our universe, "spacetime" is itself "granular;" made of irreducible particles at the "Planck Scale" (a billion, billion times smaller than atoms). In that way, spacetime is gravity, and gravity is spacetime.

To describe this theory artistically, Mr. Sanni entitles his current tome of work, “The Planets and LQG." He expresses this by showing our planets 'immersed' in the LQG theory by treating each background with “brushstrokes of spacetime,” and as a result, revealing the "gravity well" around each planetary mass.
