PLANETARY

This current collection (excluding the lunar paintings), was inspired while reading six books by Italian Theoretical Cosmologist Carlo Rovelli. Mr. Rovelli has dedicated his life's work (with other theorists and scientists), to advance a theory unifying ‘general relativity' and ‘quantum physics’ called “Loop Quantum Gravity” (LQG). Mr. Sanni entitles this collection of work, “LQG and The Planets."

The LQG theory posits, like all things in our universe, "space(time)" is "granular;" made of irreducible particles or 'quanta' at the "Planck Scale" - a billion, billion times smaller than atoms. In that way, this granularity or quanta does not occur IN space(time) but IS space(time).

To describe this theory artistically, Mr. Sanni shows our planets 'immersed' in the LQG theory by treating each background with “brushstrokes of spacetime." This also reveals the darker "gravity well" around each planetary mass.
